NC14941, Lockheed Electra 1030, was delivered on July 2, 1935, to Braniff; two or three years later it was sold to Boston & Maine Airways at some point after being sold to Boston & Maine the registration was changed to NC242. By the late 1940s-early 1950s, the Electra had been sold to Wisconsin Air Central under registration N842. After Wisconsin Central began to retire their fleet of Electras, 1030 was sold to Cordova Air Service in Alaska and then into private hands. At some point, the aircraft was involved in an accident when it was damaged beyond repair; however, in the course of our research, we were unable to find the date of the accident and any details of it. Some sources have said 1952 others have said 1960, unless something comes up we may never know.
