G-AEPO

Lockheed Electra 10A, No. 1081, was registered G-AEPO and delivered to British Airways Ltd., just over a week after her sister, 1080, on February 15, 1937. The Electra received its certificate of airworthiness on March 17, 1937; a little over two years later the aircraft was acquired by the RAF and became W9106. Electra 1081 was damaged, according to one of our sources, at Hendon on June 15, 1942, and was scrapped either shortly thereafter or later that year. Other sources state the aircraft survived until 1946 when it was scrapped, either way, the aircraft sadly does not exist today.
